About Paint the Town
A lasting place for art in Buffalo.
Black ownership. Art for all. Rooted in community since 2013.
Paint the Town Studio & Gallery was founded in 2013 by Buffalo visual artist, muralist, and educator Jarael Adams. At 74 Allen Street in Allentown, it is a public gallery open to everyone. For more than a decade, we have created space, opportunity, and visibility for artists of all backgrounds and served our community through art programs, activities, and experiences.
Our doors are open to the whole community, with particular attention to access and opportunity for Black, minority, and underserved artists. We are committed to a welcoming space where people feel comfortable participating, creating, and connecting.
Jarael’s work across painting, public art, and creative entrepreneurship informs the gallery’s purpose: make room for artists to be seen, develop their practice, and connect with the community around them.

A creative community, many ways to connect.
You do not need to be an artist to belong here. Visit the gallery, join an art activity, or share a creative experience with others. Paint parties and private gatherings offer additional ways to bring people together through art.
